Fire

  Nick got demoted today.  It was clear that he was going to get fired at the hearing, so he took the Last Chance Agreement (Demotion, change supervisor, waive grievance against state), which was negotiated between the union and the state.   He is our hero for still going to work in a hostile environment for the past 5 months, for not letting work affect his mood at home, for considering family happiness more important than career, and for growing spiritually and being more transparent to the body of Christ, and for trusting God to avenge for him.
  We are thankful that God seems to be opening up doors for the future.  Thank you all who prayed for us!  Please continue to pray for Nick as we seek out what to do next.

  I told Abby and Annabel around lunch time that we need to pray for Dad.  He has his hearing today and may get fired.  Annabel got really upset and asked why.  I started to explain that there are people who don't like daddy and had lied to get daddy fired.  I can see tears forming in her eyes and was wondering why she got so upset.  She is too young to understand the ramifications of not having a job.  And then she said, "Why do those people want to burn daddy?"
