Why?

I thought the "why" questions don't really come until 3 years old. How come after Annabel turned 2, she is asking endless "why" questions?

Why are we going home?
Why are we eating?
Why is it raining?
Why is this blue?
Why is his name "XXX"?

Why me? Why do I have two kids asking me "why"?
