Fear

Why do toddlers fear so many things? Abby used to be afraid of the cow at Stew Leonard and the dinosaur at children's museum. Also new people and places.

Annabel seems to be very sensitive to loud noises (especially since Taiwan). Motorcycles, airplanes, trucks. These days, even birds tweeting. She jumps on me when she hears some unknown sound.

One strange thing that Annabel is afraid of is thread (from clothes) or feathers. She won't go near it until you pick it up. She doesn't like a dirty spot either (on her shoe, in her path, or on her hands, clothes, even between her toes)
