Memory Master

Congratulations to Abby for being memory master for school (classical conversations). She worked very hard and memorized a whole lot of information (24 weeks worth in all subjects). She passed the proof at 4 levels (me, another parent, teacher, and director). We are very proud of her!
To be honest, I wasn't sure whether I should push her to do this (it wasn't a requirement). And most of the kids preparing for it were much older. I had to dig deep down whether I want her to be memory master purely out of selfish vanity.
But I really believe she could do it. And from past experience, she always delivered when I pushed a little. I just need to not get disappointed if she doesn't pass. I kept telling her it will be ok even if she doesn't pass. We are proud of her for trying her best. We bought a gift for her regardless of whether she passes or not.
Today, after we got home, Abby said, "I felt I couldn't. But you believe I could...and I did it."
We prayed for her not to be proud or boast. And for Abby to know that everything she has is from God and used for God's glory and purpose.
