Routine
I was told that toddler thrive on routines. It does make things easier. But they do expect things to happen certain way. And that expectation is not negotiable.
For example, for going to sleep, Abby expects to read a few books, change diaper, put on wearable blanket, take her doggie, turn on mobile, sipping water, waiving good-night. Yesterday, it was pretty hot, I decided for her to wear another lighter blanket or no blanket. Of course, she demanded that particular wearable blanket.
And she would demand a sip of water and her dog. So, I better have those ready (or I'll have to go out of the room to fetch those items).
Yesterday, we found out that Abby refused to eat when daddy is feeding her (mommy left the house) because she is sitting in the chair where mommy always feed her. Once daddy took her to another room, she finished the food in no time.
What can I say....toddlers...

Routine is good in a way. But, need to let her get use to some flexibility in certain condition. Otherwise, routine would become a limitation...........
