If you want your child to love reading, he needs see you read as well.

If you want your child to love God, read the bible, he needs to see you do that on regular basis.

If you want your child to work hard practicing piano, then you need to show him what that's like.

 If you want your child to buckle up before starting the car, you will do so yourself with or without him watching.

If you want your child to have good manners, don't talk to him in commanding tone.

If you want your child to value character more than things of this world, then don't get mad when he can't read or do math.
