Respect
One of the most important things I am trying to teach the girls is respect.
Respect mommy's need to eat, rest, and some time to herself. Respect my time on the phone and be quiet.
Respect my authority and cannot talk in impolite manner.
Respect each other's right in saying "no". Respect each other's right in having a turn.
When Annabel wants something Abby has. Abby says 'no'. Annabel may start to whine.
If I tell Annabel it's Abby's turn, she needs to wait. When Abby is done, she'll give Mei-Mei a turn. Annabel will quiet down. And after a few seconds, Abby gives a turn to Annabel.
She doesn't really care all that much about the toy. But she needs her rights to be recognized and respected.
